A bomb explodes at a military academy in Baguio where President Corazon C. Aquino is scheduled to speak that weekend, killing four people and wounding 38. The explosion happened at 10 A.M. in a specially built grandstand during a rehearsal for the weekend visit, killing at least one civilian. The bomb appeared to have been placed in a roof beam. Some sources suggested that "disgruntled military elements" may have been responsible. |
