Famous quotes containing the words terrace and/or bay:
“A tree that can fill the span of a mans arms
Grows from a downy tip;
A terrace nine stories high
Rises from hodfuls of earth;
A journey of a thousand miles
Starts from beneath ones feet.”
—Lao-Tzu (6th century B.C.)
“Shall we now
Contaminate our fingers with base bribes,
And sell the mighty space of our large honors
For so much trash as may be grasped thus?
I had rather be a dog and bay the moon
Than such a Roman.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
