In Malaysia, a television rating system was introduced on November 1, 2011 and will be changed on June 15, 2012 at 6:00am.
New rating system using since June 15, 2012 at 6:00am. The change will include broadcasting times.
- C (Children): Recommended for children. Broadcast between 6:00am and 8:00pm.
- U (Umum): General viewing for all ages. Broadcast at anytime.
- PG13: For viewers aged 13 and above, under 13 needs parental guidance. Broadcast at anytime.
- 18: For viewers aged 18 and above. Broadcast after 11:00pm.
Rating system used between November 1, 2011 to June 15, 2012.
- A (Anak): Recommended for children.
- U (Umum): General viewing for all ages.
- 13: For viewers aged 13 and above.
- 18: For viewers aged 18 and above.
- D (Dewasa): Adults only.
News programs are not rated. Re-run programs from 2011 or earlier needs to add rating.
