Released in 1994, Teenager of the Year was Frank Black’s second solo album, produced by Eric Drew Feldman. Long considered a testament to Frank Black's songwriting skills as well as his virtue as a performer, Teenager also features work by several backing musicians, including Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago and guitarist Lyle Workman. The record is widely praised by both critics and fans as his strongest post-Pixies moment.
