Kandy Hospital is the second largest medical institution in the Island established and administered under the purview of the Ministry of Health Care and Nutrition, Sri Lanka which is a key Government Hospital maintained by the Sri Lankan Government for the people living in the Central Province.
Teaching Hospital Kandy is providing specialized health care services to the adjoining provinces which include North Central Province, Uva Province, Eastern Province, Sabaragamuwa Province and the Wayamba Province as well, as there are no highly specialized units for some of these remote areas.
