Tarana-e-Milli (Urdu: ترانۂ ملی) or Anthem of the Community is an enthusiastic poem in which Allama Mohammad Iqbal paid tribute to the Muslim Ummah (nation) and said that nationalism in Islam was not recommended. He recognized all Muslims anywhere in the world as part of a single nation, whose leader is Muhammad,the prophet of the Muslims.
After a few years of writing Tarana-e-Hind, Iqbal presented the poem Tarana-e-Milli based on national patriotism but this time, he said that Islam is the land and Muslim is the nation.In the “Tarna-e-Hind” to “Tarana-e-Milli”, he also praised and complimented the Muslim community of all over the world.
