Tangkhul Naga

Tangkhul is a Naga tribe living in the Indo-Burma border area occupying the Ukhrul district in Manipur, India and the Somra Tangkhul hills (Somra tract) in Upper Burma. Despite this international border, the Tangkhul have continued to regard themselves as one nation. They are playing a major role in the fight for the integration of all the Naga-dominated areas in Northeast India and Burma and to form an Independent Country "Nagalim". Because the Naga's knows that Naga's were never an Indian and will never be Indian. The word Nagalim means Naga - Name of the tribe and the word 'Lim' is derived from the ao naga language meaning land.
