Population
As of 2010 the population of Tando Allahyar and its immediate surrounds was 400,000. 30% of the population are immigrants from India who arrived after partition. 70% are indigenous Sindhi inhabitants. Hindi, Bloch, Panjabi, and Pashtoo speaking people are in the minority.
