There were plans to connect the airport to New Delhi via NOIDA and Greater Noida through a super fast train similar to the one used between Pudong and Shanghai in China. Extension of the line may be extended to Gurgaon and Faridabad but that seemed unlikely as both the cities would have metro connections to Delhi by 2010 and monorail connects between them by 2012.
