Taiwan Railway Administration - Operating Practices

Operating Practices

Operations on different railroads are variations of same general principles. Famous quotes containing the words operating and/or practices:

Many people operate under the assumption that since parenting is a natural adult function, we should instinctively know how to do it—and do it well. The truth is, effective parenting requires study and practice like any other skilled profession. Who would even consider turning an untrained surgeon loose in an operating room? Yet we “operate” on our children every day.
    Louise Hart (20th century)

Of all reformers Mr. Sentiment is the most powerful. It is incredible the number of evil practices he has put down: it is to be feared he will soon lack subjects, and that when he has made the working classes comfortable, and got bitter beer into proper-sized pint bottles, there will be nothing left for him to do.
    Anthony Trollope (1815–1882)
