Mine Clearing
- BMR-1 (Bronirovannaya Mashina Razminirovaniya) - MTP-3 converted into a mine-clearing vehicle. This conversion was carried out beginning in 1975. It is equipped with KMT-7 mine-clearing systems and fitted with a machine gun turret. The BMR-1s were used by the Soviet army during the war in Afghanistan and more recently by Ukraine's UNIFIL contingent in Lebanon.
- BMR-2 (Boyevaya Mashina Razminirovaniya) - Mine clearing tank based on T-55 chassis. This vehicle has no turret but a fixed superstructure, armed with an NSVT machine gun. It is fitted with a KMT-7 mine clearing set and entered service around 1987 during the war in Afghanistan.
