Music Video
The "Sympathy" music video was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2002 and produced by Tony Bongiovi. The video, mostly taking place in the back of a taxi cab, is described by the band as a "guerrilla video." The video was slightly based on Taxicab Confessions because a previous side musician with the band became, as John Rzeznik describes it, "infamous" for getting in the show's taxi and landing on the show. In the video, singer/guitarist John, is supposed to be "invisible" to the other people who come and go in the taxi.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:
“Always, however brutal an age may actually have been, its style transmits its music only.”
—André Malraux (19011976)
“It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . todays children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.”
—Marie Winn (20th century)
