  • Marconi Stallions

For many years this was the biggest football derby in Australia, with the Italian Community Club from Fairfield amongst the wealthiest football clubs in Australia, games between Olympic and Marconi regularly drew large crowds and saw passionate encounters spurred on by their large followings. The clubs contested consecutive Grand Finals against each other with Marconi winning in 1989 and Olympic getting revenge in 1990 and thus also stopping a potential Marconi three-peat.

  • Sydney United

Games Between Olympic and United were always special as both clubs were founded in the same year in 1957, some of the most intense clashes in Australian football were between Olympic and the Croatian backed United culminating in pulsating and exciting encounters, which still occurs to this day proving that this rivalry is still as passionate as ever.

  • South Melbourne

Olympic and South Melbourne first met each other competitively in the inaugural NSL season in 1977 lighting the flame for a fantastic rivalry, the clubs played in many big matches resulting in fiery encounters. Both clubs were the 2 leading Greek community clubs in Australia and unofficially fought for that mantle whenever they faced off down the years including to this day.

Various other important rivalries over the years included matches against Hakoah, APIA Leichhardt, St George, Parramatta Eagles and other national clubs Melbourne Knights, Adelaide City, Perth Glory and for a short time Northern Spirit
