SWPP BPPA Society

SWPP BPPA Society

The SWPP-BPPA Society is a British professional photographic organization formed in January 2000 as a result of a merger between the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and the British Professional Photographic Associates. This merger meant the two organisations would be under the umbrella of the SWPP and would be known as the SWPP - BPPA.

The association encourages development and discussion relating to photography and promotes the interests of photographers via seminars, workshops, roadshows and industry recognised qualifications. The group provides lists of recognised and qualified professional photographers throughout the world, all of them meeting strict standards of conduct as laid down in the group's rules.

The society publishes its own magazine, Professional Imagemaker, which is issued six times each year. The magazine includes:

  • Equipment Reviews
  • Digital Capture
  • Tutorials
  • Photographer Profiles
  • Techniques
  • Architectural Photography
  • Marketing Tips
  • Wedding and Portrait Tutorials
  • Industry News
  • High End Capture
  • Articles
  • Print Competition
