Grammofonleverantörernas förening (GLF), or the Swedish Recording Industry Association in English, is an organization representing the music recording industry of Sweden. It has compiled and published the official record charts for the Swedish music recording industry since 1975, including the Swedish Albums Chart and Swedish Singles Chart.
GLF has the following members: Bonnier Amigo Group, EMI Svenska AB, Network Entertainment Group (MNW?), Sony BMG Music Entertainment Sweden AB, Sound Pollution AB, Universal Music Sweden AB, and Warner Music Sweden AB. Since 1986, GLF operates the Grammotex online catalog of recordings, currently holding 100,000 titles. The catalog service is open to music stores and distributors who pay a fee.
GLF doesn't seem to have a website of its own.
Famous quotes containing the words recording, industry and/or association:
“He shall not die, by G, cried my uncle Toby.
MThe ACCUSING SPIRIT which flew up to heavens chancery with the oath, blushd as he gave it in;and the RECORDING ANGEL as he wrote it down, droppd a tear upon the word, and blotted it out for ever.”
—Laurence Sterne (17131768)
“... were not out to benefit society, to remold existence, to make industry safe for anyone except ourselves, to give any small peoples except ourselves their rights. Were not out for submerged tenths, were not going to suffer over how the other half lives. Were out for Marys job and Luellas art, and Barbaras independence and the rest of our individual careers and desires.”
—Anne OHagan (1869?)
“With all their faults, trade-unions have done more for humanity than any other organization of men that ever existed. They have done more for decency, for honesty, for education, for the betterment of the race, for the developing of character in man, than any other association of men.”
—Clarence Darrow (18571938)
