Suresh Mehta is a former chief minister of Indian state of Gujarat He served as minister also in various BJP governments. He spent a majority of his life in the nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He served in the Gujarat government on more than one occasions and he hails from the electorally insignificant Kutch region. He called for Narendra Modi's removal in the 2007 elections in Gujarat but Modi did better than expected even in his bastion on Kutch. He has now left the BJP and is exploring all political options.
