Usage By Indonesian Air Force
Sultan Hasanuddin Airport also used for TNI-AU (Indonesian Air Force) which houses Skadron Udara 5 and 11 (5th and 11th Air Squadrons). Since operational commercial flight moved to new terminal, these squadrons used the old terminal. The 11th Squadron is equipped with Su-27SK, Su-30MK/Su-30MK2, A-4E/A-4H, TA-4H/TA-4J. Except for the TA-4J/T-4H all Skyhawks are retired and are currently being replaced with new Su-27SKMs & Su-30MK2s Flankers. Later it will become house of F16 aircraft. The 5th Air Squadron is equipped with Boeing 727 and CN-235-MPA.
