History
Founded in 1999 in Manchester NH, Subsystem played with most every active Boston area punk band through the last decade. After an initial album recording in Concord, NH, their second release was recorded at New Alliance Studios in Boston in 2001. Paul, Chris and Jason Greenough left at the end of 2007 to focus on their psychobilly project Triple Corpse Horror. In early 2008 the original guitarist and drummer were brought back in with the addition of a rhythm guitarist and new bassist Scrimmy the Dirtbag from Yankee Cockfight and Meatsaw.
Subsystem is one of the longest-running punk bands to come out NH and has also spawned many side projects that actively play throughout the New England music scene. Most early interest in the band never gained momentum as internal issues within the band kept touring outside of New England out of the question. Former members now perform in the Caught Flies (formerly known as Triple Corpse Horror) and current members play in the NH punk band the Smashed as well as New England Irish/Folk pub group and popular St. Patricks day musicians Whiskey Prison and NH rock band Meatsaw and blues duo Yankee Cockfight.
