Sturm College of Law

The Sturm College of Law ("DU Law") is one of two law schools in the state of Colorado, and the only law school in the Denver metro area. Founded in 1892, the Sturm College of Law is one of the first in America's Mountain West. The college is located on the University of Denver's main campus, about seven miles south of downtown Denver.

Because it is the only law school in the Denver metro area, DU law students are better able to pursue internships with the some of the firms, corporations, government and non-profit agencies, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, located in downtown Denver.

Famous quotes containing the words college and/or law:

Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)

I consider, then, the power to annul a law of the United States, assumed by one state, incompatible with the existence of the Union, contradicted expressly by the letter of the Constitution, unauthorized by its spirit, inconsistent with every principle on which it was founded, and destructive of the great object for which it was formed.
    Andrew Jackson (1767–1845)
