Stony Brook University Arena
Further information: Stony Brook University ArenaThe arena is located in the west end of the Sports Complex. Constructed in 1990 for the Seawolves basketball programs it has been the home of the Seawolves ever since. It has a capacity of 4,000 spectators. in 2007 the Seawolves played their last season in the arena as it was announced that the arena would undergo a $20 million renovation. The design stage was completed by the architectural firm Populous (formerly HOK Sport), later on it was announced that the project was to be placed on hold until financing can be gathered in the present economic conditions. The completion has been delayed several times and it has been announced that renovations can be completed in time for the 2012-2013 season. Since the 2008 the Seawolves has been temporarily relocated to play their games in the Pritchard Gymnasium.
