Steve Nallon

Steve Nallon (born 8 November 1960) is a British actor, writer and impressionist, best known for impersonating Margaret Thatcher on television throughout her time as British prime minister (1979–1990).

Nallon, a graduate of the University of Birmingham, began his career as a stand-up performer on the northern club circuit, before joining the Spitting Image team in 1984.

Although most famous for providing the voice of Margaret Thatcher on the show, he also voiced other characters, including Roy Hattersley and The Queen Mother who was Nallon's personal favourite character. He continues to perform in the guise of Lady Thatcher, but combines impressions with other types of work, including writing and performing in the Radio 4 comedy series, The Nallon Tapes. In 2011, Nallon provided the voice of Margaret Thatcher for the film In Search Of La Che.

In late 2003, he starred in Steve Nallon's Christmas Carol, a theatrical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol at the Birmingham Repertory.
