As Captain

Upon his arrival at the New Bucks Head, he was named as the club's new skipper, after former captain Steve Pope had departed. the 2007–08 season was a huge success for the Bucks, as they finished second in their new league, narrowly missing out on a second successive promotion after losing in the play-offs to Barrow at the semi-final stage

After another solid showing during the 2008–09 season, Telford offered Jagielka a new deal for the 2009–10 season, which he signed immediately. However, injury saw him lose his grip on the Bucks' captaincy to Stuart Whitehead, limiting him to just four appearances at the start of the new season. With no guarantees of first team football from manager Rob Smith, Jagielka decided to join the Pitmen, making his debut in the F.A. Trophy defeat to Buxton in October
