Stephen Brett - Career

Career

Brett is a versatile back whose preferred position is first five-eighth, although he can also play second five-eighth and fullback. He is the stepson of former Canterbury and New Zealand center Victor Simpson. Brett is known for his vision, incisive running, brilliant distribution ability and tactical kicking. He has worked on improving his goal kicking and defensive skills, which have led some to suggest Brett's primary weakness is in his defence, thus impeding his progress to higher levels.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

The problem, thus, is not whether or not women are to combine marriage and motherhood with work or career but how they are to do so—concomitantly in a two-role continuous pattern or sequentially in a pattern involving job or career discontinuities.
    Jessie Bernard (20th century)

“Never hug and kiss your children! Mother love may make your children’s infancy unhappy and prevent them from pursuing a career or getting married!” That’s total hogwash, of course. But it shows on extreme example of what state-of-the-art “scientific” parenting was supposed to be in early twentieth-century America. After all, that was the heyday of efficiency experts, time-and-motion studies, and the like.
    Lawrence Kutner (20th century)

My ambition in life: to become successful enough to resume my career as a neurasthenic.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
