Stephanie Biddle - Debut Album

Debut Album

In 1991, her debut album, Dis-moi, was released, whose title track achieved "top ten" status in Paris and in her hometown, Montreal.

She has performed in Hong Kong (at the Lobster Bar at the Island Shangri-La Hotel), China and Brazil, and has relocated to Manhattan. The Miami Herald remarked, "On the cusp between jazz’s old vanguard and its new, “Stephanie Biddle possesses the warmth of Sarah Vaughn, the clarity, the bite and the rhythmic sense of Ella Fitzgerald and the sly and elegant style of Nancy Wilson".

Famous quotes containing the words debut and/or album:

Had I been less resolved to work, I would perhaps had made an effort to begin immediately. But since my resolution was formal and before twenty four hours, in the empty slots of the next day where everything fit so nicely because I was not yet there, it was better not to choose a night at which I was not well-disposed for a debut to which the following days proved, alas, no more propitious.... Unfortunately, the following day was not the exterior and vast day which I had feverishly awaited.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)

What a long strange trip it’s been.
