Step Back in Time

"Step Back in Time" is a song performed by Australian recording artist and songwriter Kylie Minogue which was taken from her third studio album Rhythm of Love (1990). The song was taken as Minogue's second single off the album, although originally, "What Do I Have to Do" was penned as the second single from the album. The song was written and produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman, who produced and wrote most of Minogue's songs at that time. Musically, the song is a disco inspired song.

The song didn't receive much attention on the singles chart, but manage to peak inside the top ten in the UK, peaking at number four, and number five in her native Australia. The song was performed at most of Minogue's concert tours, including Rhythm of Love Tour, Let's Get to It Tour, Intimate and Live Tour and her KylieX2008 worldwide tour.

Famous quotes containing the words step back, step and/or time:

The glorious dream of full father involvement in infant care will not become a widespread reality overnight. But it can happen, and it eventually will happen,... A lot of progress may take place in a short period of time if we just lighten up, step back, and give the guys a decent chance.
    Michael K. Meyerhoff (20th century)

My weary limbs are scarcely stretched for repose, before red dawn peeps into my chamber window, and the birds in the whispering leaves over the roof, apprise me by their sweetest notes that another day of toil awaits me. I arise, the harness is hastily adjusted and once more I step upon the tread-mill.
—“E. B.,” U.S. farmer. As quoted in Feminine Ingenuity, by Anne L. MacDonald (1992)

They do not live in the world,
Are not in time and space.
    From birth to death hurled
No word do they have, not one
    To plant a foot upon,
    Were never in any place.
    Edwin Muir (1887–1959)
