Steffan has successfully coached a youth team at Llangennech AFC, having created the team when the side were under 14's. The team subsequently grew and won a Bancffosfelen 5 a side plate as well as finishing as runners up in the 2011 league cup. The team also had a 2011, 3rd place finish in the league whilst subsequently achieving a league cup semi final place and a West Wales quarter final place whilst finishing 6th in the league.
Cook has employed a direct style of play with a target man up front although he has brought through some very promising young players who have gone on to represent Llanelli's academy and there is rumours linking him with the Llangennech AFC first team management position.
