Originally Statendam was the name of an old dike on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee, it has been the name of several ships owned by Holland America Line:
- Statendam (1898) an earlier ship of the Holland-American line
- Statendam I a Dutch ship (1898–1910).
- Statendam II a Dutch ship (1914–1918).
- SS Statendam an English ship (1914–1918)
- Statendam III a Dutch ship (1929–1940).
- Statendam IV, Holland America cruise ship, in service for HAL 1957 - 1982, scrapped in India 2004
- SS Justicia, built as the ocean liner Statendam for Holland America, but requisitioned and converted to troop ship and sunk in World War I
- MS Statendam, current Holland America cruise ship, entered service 1993
- Statendam class (S-class) cruise ships of Holland America
