The Star Wars Databank is the official Star Wars site's reference on characters, locations and technology. Entries are checked when they are posted but may not be kept up to date. When they are up to date the movie sections are "G-Canon" and the Expanded Universe sections are "C-Canon".
Each article progresses by describing the subject's incarnation in the movies if applicable, and moving on to Expanded Universe material; finally, there is often a "Behind the Scenes" section which describes the subject's real-world history, inspiration, and production.
Famous quotes containing the words star and/or wars:
“I have drunk ale from the Country of the Young
And weep because I know all things now:
I have been a hazel-tree, and they hung
The Pilot Star and the Crooked Plough
Among my leaves in times out of mind....”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
“O how wretched
Is that poor man that hangs on princes favors!
There is betwixt that smile we would aspire to,
More pangs and fears than wars or women have;
And when he falls, he falls like Lucifer,
Never to hope again.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
