Star Wars: Dark Times

Dark Times is a 2006, twenty-one (20 + a 'zero issue') issue comic book mini-series published by Dark Horse Comics. It is part of their 30th anniversary retooling of its long-running Star Wars series of comics, replacing Star Wars: Republic.

The first issue was released on November 8, 2006, and is written by Mick Harrison from a plot by Welles Hartley.

The series is set in the Star Wars galaxy shortly after the events in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and about 19 years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The story begins in the days following the events in Purge by John Ostrander, and intertwines with the events of Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader by James Luceno.

Famous quotes containing the words star, dark and/or times:

My advice to those who think they have to take off their clothes to be a star is, once you’re boned, what’s left to create the illusion? Let ‘em wonder. I never believed in givin’ them too much of me.
    Mae West (1892–1980)

No, they are dark and wrinkled and hairy,
caves of the Moon . . .——— And when a
    dark humming fills us, a
    coldness towards life,
we are too much women to
    own such unwomanliness.
    Denise Levertov (b. 1923)

These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.
    Thomas Paine (1737–1809)
