Stanley Tucci - Personal Life

Personal Life

Tucci's first wife was Kathryn Louise Spath-Tucci (1962–2009), also known as Kate Tucci, who died of breast cancer. She was a social worker and the former wife of actor and stage manager Alexander R. Scott, the elder son of actors Colleen Dewhurst and George C. Scott. She and Tucci married in 1995 and had three children: twins Isabel Concetta and Nicolo Robert (born in 2000) and Camilla (born in 2002). The couple also raised Spath-Tucci's two children from her previous marriage. Tucci was separated from his wife between 2003 and 2004, during which time the actor dated Edie Falco.

In 2011, Tucci became engaged to Felicity Blunt (born 1981), a British literary agent and the elder sister of Tucci's The Devil Wears Prada co-star Emily Blunt, who introduced the couple several years after they worked together on Prada. Blunt and Tucci were married in 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

The historian must have ... some conception of how men who are not historians behave. Otherwise he will move in a world of the dead. He can only gain that conception through personal experience, and he can only use his personal experiences when he is a genius.
    —E.M. (Edward Morgan)

Reminiscences, even extensive ones, do not always amount to an autobiography.... For autobiography has to do with time, with sequence and what makes up the continuous flow of life. Here, I am talking of a space, of moments and discontinuities. For even if months and years appear here, it is in the form they have in the moment of recollection. This strange form—it may be called fleeting or eternal—is in neither case the stuff that life is made of.
    Walter Benjamin (1892–1940)
