St. Mirren F.C.

St. Mirren Football Club is a Scottish professional football club based in Paisley, Renfrewshire, founded in 1877. The team plays in the Scottish Premier League, having been promoted from the First Division in 2005–06. The team has three nicknames: the "Buddies", which is widely used; and the "Saints" or "Pato's Madness" which are less common.

St. Mirren have won the Scottish Cup three times – 1926, 1959 and 1987 – and the Renfrewshire Cup 54 times. The club has played in European competition four times: UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1987–88 and the UEFA Cup in 1980–81, 1983–84 and 1985–86.

For the first 115 years of its existence the club played its home games at its stadium in Love Street, but since 2009 its home ground has been St. Mirren Park, which has a capacity of 8,023.
