In the past decade, St. Anthony's has won 19 league titles, plus some state championships. St. Anthony's' usual opponents include Chaminade and St.John the Baptist High School. It has been ranked as the number 1 sports program in New York state and top 50 in the country by Sports Illustrated.

The most lauded team at Saint Anthony's High School in the last 2 decades has been the Varsity Football team. The Friars have won 10 the last 11 championships including 7 in a row from 2001-2007. This run has been orchestrated by head coach Rich Reichert. He has been so successful, the path leading to Cy Donnelly field from the parking lot has been designated "Reichert's Way".

St. Anthony's hockey team has also exhibited recent success. The team has won 7 straight county championships and won the New York State championship for New York State Amateur Hockey Association teams in the 2007-08 season. St. Anthony's hockey applied and was awarded membership to the Catholic High School Hockey League, part of the CHSAA, with members such as Iona Prep, Fordham Prep, Monsignor Farrell High School, Chaminade High School, and Archbishop Stepinac High School, for the 2008-09 season. In the 2009-10 season, the varsity hockey team won the CHSHL championship beating defending champion Monsignor Farrell. In the 2011-2012 Season the Hockey team won its first New York Catholic High School State title beating St.Francis of Athol Springs 4-3. Chris Wallace scored the game-winning goal off of a Mike Marnell backhanded saucer pass to win the game with one second left. Since joining the CHSHL, the JV team has also won four consecutive championships in the 2008-09, 2009–10, 2010-11, and 2011-12 seasons. The Varsity Men's Lacrosse team had always been among the top 10 schools in the nation. They have won the CHSAA AAA crown the past four seasons, 2009-2012. The Girls Varsity Swim team has been a powerhouse winning five championships since 2005 including the 2010 championship. They won 4 straight championships from 2004-08.

In 2008 the Boys Varsity Soccer team went undefeated to a league and state championship title. All ten of their graduated seniors went on to a D1 soccer school including Providence, UConn, St.Johns, Fordham Prep, and the University of Delaware.

In 2010 the Boys Varsity Swimming and Diving team won their first league championship concluding their first undefeated season. Dan McBride was named coach of the year. The team then placed 4th at States and was the top Catholic School.
