Campus Locality
The college was opened in 1996 at a temporary location in Thoraipakkam in the suburbs of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It later moved to a sprawling 1 square kilometre campus at Kalavakkam (Thiruporur Panchayat) on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (Old Mahabalipuram Road) in 1998. Every year the management provides about four Crore rupees worth scholarships for eligible students. There is a "walkin-walkout" scholarship awarded to top 10 rank holders in high school exams. The successful students' fees are completely waived, including the hostel charges.
