The college started functioning from 1996 at a temporary location in Valasaravakkam in the suburbs of Chennai. Sairam moved to a sprawling 1 square kilometre campus at Saileo Nagar,West Tambaram Chennai in 1998. The college is currently situated in a verdant peaceful greenery in the middle of a forest with a lot of trees which proves to be an ideal learning environment.
