Since 2006, the Springdale Bulldogs compete under the sanction of the Arkansas Activities Association in the 7A classification:

For football, the Bulldogs compete in the 7A-West Division along with:

The head coach of the Auburn Tigers football team, Gus Malzahn, was head coach of the Sprindale football team from 2001–2005 before being hired into the college coaching ranks.
