Handball
Handball was first played in 1984 in an exhibition event, and was taken up by the Pakistan Olympic Association. The Pakistan Amateur Handball Federation is a member of the Asia Handball Federation. In beach handball, Pakistan is ranked first in Asia. Pakistan also participated in the Beach Handball World Cup in 2008. Pakistan won the gold medal at the first Beach Asian Games in Bali, Indonesia.
