Smoke is a mutant villain in the Marvel Comics Universe. He was created by Peter Milligan and Mike Allred, and his first appearance was in X-Force #119 (August 2001).
Smoke was killed by Wolverine in X-Force #120 (September 2001), while attempting to kill Orphan.
Smoke had the ability to generate smoke clouds and various gases, including toxic ones. His body appeared to be composed of smoke, though it was solid enough to be sliced in half by Wolverine's claws.

Famous quotes containing the word smoke:
“Sure smokers have made personal choices. And they pay for those choices every day, whether sitting through an airline flight dying for a smoke, or dying for a smoke in the oncology wing of a hospital. The tobacco companies have not paid nearly enough for the killing.”
—Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)
“Smoking ... is downright dangerous. Most people who smoke will eventually contract a fatal disease and die. But they dont brag about it, do they? Most people who ski, play professional football or drive race cars, will not dieat least not in the actand yet they are the ones with the glamorous images, the expensive equipment and the mythic proportions. Why this should be I cannot say, unless it is simply that the average American does not know a daredevil when he sees one.”
—Fran Lebowitz (b. 1950)
“In winter we lead a more inward life. Our hearts are warm and cheery, like cottages under drifts, whose windows and doors are half concealed, but from whose chimneys the smoke cheerfully ascends.... We enjoy now, not an Oriental, but a Boreal leisure, around warm stoves and fireplaces, and watch the shadow of motes in the sunbeams.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
