Famous quotes containing the words speed and/or ballads:

    Life is too short to waste
    In critic peep or cynic bark,
    Quarrel or reprimand:
    ‘Twill soon be dark;
    Up, heed thine own aim, and
    God speed the mark!
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

    Fight on for Scottland and Saint Andrew
    Till you heare my whistle blowe.
    —Unknown. Sir Andrew Barton.
