Famous quotes containing the words special, rescue and/or team:
“Nature is a setting that fits equally well a comic or a mourning piece. In good health, the air is a cordial of incredible virtue. Crossing a bare common, in snow puddles, at twilight, under a clouded sky, without having in my thoughts any occurrence of special good fortune, I have enjoyed a perfect exhilaration. I am glad to the brink of fear.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“To rescue from oblivion even a fragment of a language which men have used and which is in danger of being lostthat is to say, one of the elements, whether good or bad, which have shaped and complicated civilizationis to extend the scope of social observation and to serve civilization.”
—Victor Hugo (18021885)
“Is my team ploughing,
That I was used to drive
And hear the harness jingle
When I was man alive?”
—A.E. (Alfred Edward)
