Post-electoral Issues

New names for an independent country were being suggested, with South Sudan being controversial as it does not offer a break from Sudan. Over 12 names had been suggested, including Nile Republic, Kush Republic and Azania.

The SPLM proposed naming the country South Sudan, with Nile Republic and Cush as other possibilities. The country was then officially named Republic of South Sudan.

Amongst the issues to be handled by a new government are job creation.
