South Yorkshire Police is governed by the local Police Crime Commissioner Shaun Wright. His deputy is Tracey Cheetham, although this still requires confirmation from the Panel. Famous quotes containing the words management and/or governance:

    Why not draft executive and management brains to prepare and produce the equipment the $21-a-month draftee must use and forget this dollar-a-year tommyrot? Would we send an army into the field under a dollar-a-year General who had to be home Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays?
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

    He yaf me al the bridel in myn hand,
    To han the governance of hous and land,
    And of his tonge and his hand also;
    Geoffrey Chaucer (1340?–1400)
