South Korean Nuclear Research Programs

In August 2004, South Korea revealed the extent of its highly secretive and sensitive nuclear research programs to the IAEA, including some experiments which were conducted without the obligatory reporting to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) called for by South Korea's safeguards agreement. Famous quotes containing the words south, nuclear, research and/or programs:

While the South is hardly Christ-centered, it is most certainly Christ-haunted.
    Flannery O’Connor (1925–1964)

Language is as real, as tangible, in our lives as streets, pipelines, telephone switchboards, microwaves, radioactivity, cloning laboratories, nuclear power stations.
    Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)

After all, the ultimate goal of all research is not objectivity, but truth.
    Helene Deutsch (1884–1982)

Although good early childhood programs can benefit all children, they are not a quick fix for all of society’s ills—from crime in the streets to adolescent pregnancy, from school failure to unemployment. We must emphasize that good quality early childhood programs can help change the social and educational outcomes for many children, but they are not a panacea; they cannot ameliorate the effects of all harmful social and psychological environments.
    Barbara Bowman (20th century)
