South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) is a residential college located in southwest Georgia, teaching the latest educational programs of today. There are two campuses within the main college. The main college is located in Americus, Georgia, while the satellite campus located in Cordele, Georgia offers the same programs. Diploma programs usually take about one to two years to complete for full-time students, on the contrary Certificate Programs take on average one to two quarters to finish. Programs of high interest include criminal justice, nursing, early childcare, marketing, and culinary arts. SGTC serves many neighboring counties including Macon, Sumter, Webster, and Crisp County. In addition many partnerships exist with local business, making it possible for students to obtain part-time jobs.
