South Asian Diaspora

Desi is a term for the people, cultures, and products of the Indian subcontinent or South Asia and, increasingly, to their diaspora. Desi countries chiefly include North India and Pakistan and sometimes South India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives & Sri Lanka.

There are large Desi populations in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, South Africa, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Guyana, Fiji, Australia, Trinidad and Tobago, the Middle East and among regions.
