Famous quotes containing the words soul, survivor and/or rock:
“And yet it is a kind of inward feast,
A harmony that sounds within the breast,
An odour, light, embrace, in which the soul doth rest,”
—Giles Fletcher, The Younger (15851623)
“Youre looking, sir, at a very dull survivor of a very gaudy life. Crippled, paralyzed in both legs. Very little I can eat, and my sleep is so near waking that its hardly worth the name. I seem to exist largely on heat, like a newborn spider.”
—William Faulkner (18971962)
“Golden slumbers kiss your eyes,
Smiles awake you when you rise.
Sleep, pretty wantons, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby:
Rock them, rock them, lullaby.”
