Famous quotes containing the words soil, ocean and/or satellite:
“An underground grower, blind and a common brown;
Got a misshapen look, its nudged where it could;
Simple as soil yet crowded as earth with all.”
—Richard Wilbur (b. 1921)
“Everything that ever walked or crawled on the face of the earth, swum the depths of the ocean or soared through the skies left its imprint here.”
—Robert M. Fresco, and Jack Arnold. Dr. Matt Hastings (John Agar)
“Books are the best things, well used; abused, among the worst. What is the right use? What is the one end, which all means go to effect? They are for nothing but to inspire. I had better never see a book, than to be warped by its attraction clean out of my own orbit, and made a satellite instead of a system.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
