Sohrab Goth

Sohrab Goth (Urdu: سہراب گوٹھ ‎) is a suburb of Gadap Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It acts as an entry point to Karachi from the rest of Pakistan. There is a bridge over the Lyari River connecting other areas of Karachi to Sohrab Goth. Bridge building started in 2000 and completed in 2006.

There are several ethnic groups in Sohrab Goth including Muhajirs, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, etc. Over 99% of the population is Muslim. The population of Gadap Town is estimated to be nearly one million. The population of Sohrab Goth is predominantly Pakhtun and majority belongs to Mehsud tribe.
