The game has a number of references to Gamer In-jokes, other games, TV shows and other forms of popular entertainment some of which include: Reference to
Monkey Island: there are 4 pictures in the inn of LeChuck, with several beard colors, click on the pictures and Sunny will give comment on them.
Lost: looking at the Iron Plate in the forest sites the list of numbers from the TV show lost, and the main character makes a comment about hoping she doesn't find a hatch.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold: looking at the sand sculpture in the village prompts the guard to tell you it was made by Esteban, Tao and Zia, who were the children from the cartoon show, Sunny then makes a comment about it being like a city of gold.
Knights Who Say Ni: there is a scene in the game where there are three dead knights hanging from trees. These knights are constantly saying "Ni", a reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
