Snapfish - History

History

Snapfish was launched in April 2000 by business partners Rajil Kapoor, Suneet Wadhwa, Shripati Acharya, and Bala Parthasarathy. In 2005, Snapfish was bought by HP.

Snapfish is based in San Francisco, California. In 2004, Snapfish opened a physical retail store in Alexandria, Virginia, but they later closed the retail store.

As of 2007, Snapfish claimed to have 40 million members and to host 1 billion digital pictures.

In June 2008, Snapfish stopped its image hosting service, which means images stored on Snapfish can no longer be linked to other websites.
