The SHRV genome is a non-segmented, negative sense RNA genome that is approximately 11,550 nucleotides in length, with six ORFs, including the matrix (M) gene, the nonvirion (NV) gene, the nucleoprotein (N) gene, the phosphoprotein (P) gene, the polymerase (large protein, L) gene, and the viral glycoprotein gene (G), arranged in the following order: 3'-N-P-M-G-NV-L-5'.
